Occupational Training for the Youth, Unemployed and Employed
Each year SETAs commit to training and funding specific programmes to boost skills in various economic sectors. SETAs provide opportunities for the unemployed, youth and poor. These training opportunities are directly linked to industry needs.
Scarce Skills Job Training: SETA Contacts
Look for scarce skills in order to find the jobs that industries are most desperate to fill.
- Some SETAs are responsible for a range of economic sectors or industries, such as Services Seta. Or they may cover one sector – such as the Bank SETA.
- SETA’s are important sources of information for people who are unemployed and searching for opportunities.
- Make yourself visible to opportunity, it cannot find you. Read Register and Apply for SETA Learnerships here
Use the SAQA website to search for NQF Qualifications
- When you open Qualifications registered on www.saqa.za they will state the SETA responsible for the qualification in the table at the top.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the qualification till you find the list of registered skills program and qualification providers.
- Contact these providers and the SETA.
- Google the qualification title and NQF level in order to find other providers that SAQA has been too lazy to upload.

Here are new qualifications across different industries:
- Qualifications at NQF. Level 1 and 2 for those with little or no high school and limited if any work experience.
- NQF Level 3 qualifications for those with some high school and little or no work experience.
- Amazing NQF Level 4 qualifications for Matriculants or experienced workers.
