You don’t need to give up on yourself!
Even if you have little or no budget for internet, transport and appearance, there’s still stuff you can do to improve your ability to find employment.
Take a breathe and don’t feel desperate. Turn the pressure to quickly do something about the situation into positive energy.
EVEN ‘FAST’ IS SLOW WHEN IT COMES TO FINDING WORK
Don’t expect things to happen in a rush just ‘cos you’re starving. 🙁
When you apply, you are one of many. Increase your chances by increasing the range of opportunities. 🙂 #YouCanDoIt
You’ll survive if you keep searching.
Work with what you have, don’t focus on something you can’t change.
#YouCanDoIt TIPS
- Survey of your community.
- List community organisations you can contact about being a volunteer. Make sure they are in walking distance or you will need transport money.
- List local businesses and ask if they have any odd jobs for you. Don’t pressure them by asking for a job. If they like you and have an opportunity available – they’ll offer it.
- Let all the organisations and businesses know that if they are ever in an emergency situation, they can contact you.
- Set goals addressing your financial challenges.
- Set a goal to raise R200 within 3 weeks. Wash cars, baby sit or make vet koek to sell if you have the ingredients.
- When you start meeting your money goals, expand your work opportunities
